IRTS AGM

Most of the Committee were present at the IRTS AGM this year. Paul, EI3ENB ventured down to Cork Saturday evening, EI7IG, EI2IT and EI3FFB departed their various homes to arrive in time for ‘kick-off’. EI2HI arrived afterwards, just in time to collect the Sliabh na mBan (Slievenmon) Shield, again!. EI7IG collected the Shandon Trophy on behalf of TARG, for the Clubs efforts in the VHF/UHF Field day last July, and (a surprised) EI7IG also collected the Shiela Piper Cup. A most enjoyable day was had by all.

2m Counties Contest

We hope everyone had as much fun as TARG members had today in participating in the contest, many thanks to EI2IT, EI3ENB and EI7IG for operating in quite cool conditions at the top of Slievenamban. Good luck to all that participated and Happy Easter!

After several years absence, TARG returned to the top of Slievenamban for the counties contest. Though cold, it was good fun, and to paraphrase the immortal words of Arnie, “We’ll be back”. Many thanks to Jim Ronan for working on getting the Argo 8×8 mountain-worthy.

April Meeting

As the club had a meeting last week, and quite a few were present at the Galtee Walking Festival, the Committee has decided to postpone the April meeting until later in the month.
The club has been asked if we could provide voice communications for the Ballyhoura Walking Festival. We will most likely have a meeting closer to the date (last weekend in April) to organise ourselves for this event.

Walking Festival

The committee of Tipperary Amateur Radio Group would like to thank everyone who helped out over the weekend of the Galtee Walking Festival on the 1st/2nd of April.
